Meet Dr. Greg Hansen

Dr. Greg Hansen graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University with a degree in Biology and a minor in Business Administration, receiving the prestigious Ruth and Lee Faust Award as the top science graduate. He completed two research theses in human genetics and was selected for a summer fellowship at the H.A. Chapman Institute of Human Genetics.

Dr. Hansen initially worked as a Senior Consultant at a management consulting firm, gaining expertise in technology, accounting, project management, and business processes. Driven by his passion for science and medicine, he pursued a medical degree at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern-Parkland Hospital.

He has been an integral part of the Emergency Department, making notable contributions as the current Medical Director, former Director of Process Improvement, and physician sepsis liaison, earning three distinguished physician awards. He oversees three sites seeing a combined 100,000 patients a year and over 70 employees, including an in-house scribe program.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hansen enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two young children, traveling, and supporting them in their sports activities.
