Dr. Greg Hansen graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University, where he earned a degree in Biology and a minor in Business Administration. His outstanding academic achievements led to him receiving the prestigious Ruth and Lee Faust Award for being the top science graduate. Not only did he hold the highest GPA, but he also completed two research theses in human genetics. As a testament to his passion for scientific inquiry, Dr. Hansen was selected for a summer research fellowship at the H.A. Chapman Institute of Human Genetics in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Following his college education, Dr. Hansen embarked on a unique career path that initially led him to work as a Senior Consultant at a renowned management and accounting consulting firm. During this time, he gained invaluable expertise in technology, accounting, project management, and business processes. However, driven by his deep-rooted love for science and medicine, Dr. Hansen decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a physician.
He enrolled at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and successfully completed his medical degree. Dr. Hansen then undertook a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern- Parkland Hospital. After his residency, he joined the Methodist Hospital System, where he dedicated his skills and knowledge to patient care. For the past twelve years, he has been an integral part of Texoma Emergency Physicians, where he has found great fulfillment in his practice.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hansen has made notable contributions. He served as the Director of Process Improvement and played a crucial role as a physician sepsis liaison. His commitment to excellence in healthcare earned him three distinguished physician awards, recognizing his exceptional quality of service and his role as a shining star provider.
He currently serves as the leader of information technology integration where he’s helping Level One develop unique technologies and processes to improve operational efficiencies and patient clinical outcomes. He is excited to bring Level One management practices to other hospitals and is actively engaged in current expansion plans.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hansen enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two young children, traveling, and supporting them in their sports activities.
