Meet Dr. Seungwhan Roh

Dr. Seungwhan Roh is a board-certified Emergency Medicine at Texoma Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California Berkeley, where he obtained his EMT licensure and worked at the emergency department at Highland Hospital serving the population of inner city Oakland. He obtained his medical education at Eastern Virginia Medical School where he performed research and published works relating to improving care for patients in lower socioeconomic areas.

He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the Staten Island campus of Northwell Health Hospital System. He served at the frontline during the initial wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City, treating the most heavily affected region of the US at the time during the height of the pandemic. After completing residency in New York, he moved to Texas where he worked at several rural hospitals including in the Texas Panhandle, applying valuable knowledge he gained in New York on how to treat and rescue COVID-19 patients.

Dr. Roh has found great satisfaction working at Texoma Medical Center over the past few years where he has continued to serve this community. 

On his days off, Dr. Roh enjoys hiking, rock climbing, as well as traveling with his wife worldwide to gain appreciation of different cultures.
