Meet Dr. Tiffany Allison

A Texan by birth, Dr. Allison grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska. She spent much of her time as a competitive gymnast where she developed early skills of dedication, precision, time management, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Frequent visits to her Orthopedic Surgeon’s office sparked her interest in medicine and facilitated mentorship with a physician who started his career right here at Texoma Medical Center.

Following High School, she returned to her home state of Texas to complete her higher education. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Tyler with a bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and English. In addition to excelling in the classroom, she played an integral role in starting a scribe program at a busy level II trauma center where her love for Emergency Medicine flourished.  She furthered her education by obtaining a master’s degree in Medical Science at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She stayed at UNTHSC to complete her medical degree at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine where she graduated with honors. She went on to complete an Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she served as chief resident.

Upon graduation, Dr. Allison took the reigns as ER medical director at Lackey Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital in rural Mississippi. During this time, she learned the unique challenges that face rural hospitals and took pride in expanding the healthcare that was available locally. She is most proud of being able to double the ER capacity during the height of the COVID pandemic and securing advanced airway therapeutics that allowed many patients to remain local. During her 3 years as medical director, she gained valuable leadership skills that will serve her well at TMC.

Often regarded as a favorite to work with by nurses, Dr. Allison takes pride in creating an enjoyable work environment for all staff. She has a deep rooted desire to never stop learning and challenges herself to stay on top of the latest medical literature in order to deliver the highest standard of care to her patients. Her clinical interests include rural medicine, oncologic emergencies, quality improvement and staff retention.

In addition to her clinical work, she serves as an active member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine where she is passionate about advocating for a physician-led team delivering the highest standard of care for all patients. She is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Passionate Dallas sports fans, Dr. Allison and her husband, local oncologist Dr. Geoffrey Gibson, reside in Prosper with their son Brooks and 2 dogs, Bauer and Luka.
