Meet Dr. Tyler Nichols

Dr. Tyler Nichols grew up in Longview, Texas. His childhood was full of sports, good friendships, and a close-knit family. He attended Texas A&M University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Nichols was determined to train at a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department where he could become a skilled physician who thrives in a busy environment while providing exceptional, compassionate care to his patients. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Advocate Christ Medical Center, a community-based hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center located on the south side of Chicago. During residency, he exercised his passion for leadership and medical education by developing a mentorship program for rotating medical students. He showed a strong commitment to his program by serving as Chief Resident during his final year.

Dr. Nichols is passionate about emergency medicine and working in a field where he is able to give back to his community. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, road biking, golfing, keeping up with his favorite sports teams, and exploring local restaurants and craft breweries. He and his wife are excited to be returning home to Texas with their growing family.

With a commitment to excellence, Dr. Nichols strives to contribute to the local community through exceptional emergency medical care.
